Paris Day 1 (part 2)

After Notre Dame, Pierre showed us the streets of Paris. We walked by lovely shops, sidewalk cafes, beautiful churches and buildings and soaked it all in.

How could you not just adore a shop that has a window display like this. The baby clothes they sold were even more lovely! It took all my willpower to come out empty handed (I didn't even want to look at the prices)

I travel through tasting. I mean, one of the things I love most about a country is the regional cuisine. And lucky for us, Paris has delicious food! Let's just say I ate my fair share of pastries while we were there (and Avery's share too).

If you're ever in Paris, please, for my sake and yours, stop at Laduree. There are a few locations to make it that much easier for you. The pastries there are to die for! And when I came out with 20 Euros worth of pastries, there was no regrets once we tried them.

This is a French Macaron (almond flavored meringue with fresh raspberries, rose cream and lychee between!)

And this is a double stacked cream puff...

but not just any cream puff. Look inside this baby...almond cream, cherries, YUM!
Why did I have to take these pictures? I want one now!

If enjoying Paris on it's own wasn't enough, we got to see it all decorated for Christmas. And let me tell you, the French know how to decorate!
This was there huge high-end mall.
Just wait until you see inside...

presents hanging from the ceiling

a gorgeous Christmas tree

And on the outside... ornaments hanging above the sidewalks

And their window displays!...

some were animated for the kids.
