Wednesday morning, we took the 2 1/2 hr. bus ride from Cheltenham to London to catch the Eurostar train to Paris for the long Thanksgiving weekend. It was so exciting to be able to travel Europe again! Despite a little scare on our way to Paris (Jacob + Avery + diaper change + quick change of trains = a very close call on a train headed to Belgium) we arrived at the home of a French family who showed us the side of Paris we wouldn't have experienced otherwise. They greeted us into their home with a delicious meal of Duck Confite (+ salad and potatoes, followed by a cheese course, followed by dessert) and then after we put Avery down for bed, we left her with their oldest daughter as they drove us around Paris by night.

wow
I didn't know you were in Cheltenham. That is a possible location for our next move. Looks like a fun trip to Paris! That's one place I haven't been yet.
How did you find a host family? That is a great idea.
Harmony-yeah we love Cheltenham and are sad to be leaving in 21/2 weeks! It's a great town and in the perfect location with lots to see within an hours drive all directions. The ward is wonderful also! The family we stayed with in Paris are family friends of Jacob's mom.
