The Valley of the Temples

Today was a whirlwind day...we started driving up to the pali lookout where we had a very windy view of part of the east coast. It was a beautiful view of the ocean, mountains and small towns. From there we went to The Valley of the Temples where we visited the Boydo-In temple (a Buddhist temple). I loves the unique architecture (as you can tell from the amount of pics.) Before you enter the temple you are supposed to ring the huge bell to good fortune to yourself. We had to take off our shoes so we could go into the inner building where there is an intricately carved bronze statue of Buddha. After a quick lunch we went to the LDS temple in Laie so the Allie and Sjauna could see it and take pictures. Our day ended with a unsuccessful attempt to get a pie at Teds Bakery and finally the Dole plantation. What a great day!
