How does a pineapple grow? This is something I've been wondering since I've been eating so much pinapple here in Hawaii. Well, today I found out. We visited the Dole plantation where we were able to do a little shopping, eat pineapple ice cream, feed koi, and see that pineapple grows on top of a stock. I also learned a new way to cut pineapple (bent knife required) and that all you need to plant a pineapple is the top leafy part. With so much pineapple, I've thought up some new ways to incorporate it into our diet including pineapple pancakes...yummy!
