In August we took advantage of the beautiful weather to visit a gorgeous palace that is only about 30 minutes from our house. There are beautiful gardens all surrounding the palace that you can spend all day exploring (in fact we've been to the palace twice and haven't actually gone inside of it yet and aren't even sure if we've seen all of the gardens).
It was pretty hot this day, so that water fountain was quite tempting!

In one of the gardens we found this beautiful wooden carousel. We were lucky enough to take the last ride before they closed it up!
There is a good portion of the park that has all sorts of "fairytale" themed houses with little interactive displays. This dragon asked for paper (at lease that's what I think it was saying with my little German and observing someone putting some trash in it's mouth...maybe some kind of recycling thing?)
