Avery's First...Halloween

Halloween in England is not celebrated to quite the extent as it is in the States, so we struggled figuring out exactly how we were going to celebrate Avery's 1st Halloween. We decided to invite some friends over to carve pumpkins and have some homemade goodies, and that was all the excuse I needed to dress Avery up. It was a very last minute decision, so I was up late hand stitching her costume the night before (I'm sure this is only the beginning). And thanks to my sister Kelli for the idea, I think it turned out pretty cute.

Any guesses what she is?

That's right, a flower!

In some way, this picture reminds me of myself -
I think it's the eyebrows.
I did that a lot in middle school pictures.

And here are the details...
a flower wouldn't be complete without a butterfly

and a little girl who wants to eat the petals.

Hope your Halloween was Lovely!
