What we've been up to...

The last few months of being back in the States have seemed to fly by. We've been busy buying our first home, painting, moving, and unpacking, but between that all we've managed to have a little fun...
We celebrated St. Patricks day with a lot of green...asparagus soup, flank steak with chimichurri sauce, roasted broccoli, roasted potatoes with herbs, limeade and mint choc. chip ice cream. It was fun trying to figure out a green menu.

Ave love to look at everything outside in our new house. She also loves that daddy takes her for long walks when he gets home from work so mommy can unpack without distractions.

Avery turned one a little over a week ago. We had grandma and grandpa over for a special birthday dinner and Avery had her first taste of cupcakes and ice cream. It doesn't look like it in this picture, but she loved it all, and even stole my cupcake off my plate.

I was able to co-host a fun little baby shower with my friend Kate. It was my first "creative outlet" since being back. I made these little candy jars for each place setting.

After a week of unpacking, I had to switch gears and get ready for Avery's 1st birthday party. It was so much fun putting my ideas all together. (more pics to come)

Happy birthday our sweet Avery Grace!
