Avery's 1st birthday party was many years of ideas finally coming to fruition. It was a little crazy doing in the middle of a move, and despite the weather not exactly cooperating, it all turned out and (i think) everyone had a good time. And thanks to some dear friends, I was also able to enjoy the day.

Wow, Ashley! I have never personally known someone who threw such a delightfully detailed first birthday party. It looks like it was a magical day, just as it should be. I hope all the hours of preparation allowed you to really enjoy it... and all in the middle of a move! You are incredible, as always. Wish we could have been there with you guys!
p.s. Turkey avocado sandwiches? Recipe please!
Oh, how we would have loved for you guys to be here Em! Any future trips to D.C? One day we'll get our girls together.
