London - Take one

I'm finally getting around to finishing posting about Jacob's parent's trip to visit us. Their last two days here, we headed off to London (a 2 1/2 hr. trip from our house) to see the sights of the city. After dropping off our luggage at our hotel in Belgravia, we hopped on a site seeing bus tour to get a good view of the whole city. It was wonderful being back in the city and seeing some of the places we love.

{Westminster Abby}

{Big Ben at night}
The next morning we headed off to Buckingham Palace. For the past few years the queen has been opening up her residence for tours for only 2 months out of the year. We just happened to be there during that time and were able to see the ornately decorated state rooms and artwork from the great masters.

{Tower Bridge...not to be confused with London Bridge}

{The London Eye}

{Avery at Big Ben}

We loved having Julia and Darcy here and Avery loved being entertained by her grandparents. At the end of their stay in London, Julia and Darcy headed off to the second half of their trip in Paris.

Wow- what a great experience to see all those historical monuments/buildings. I love pictures with Avery being held up with the attraction behind her. We sure miss you guys. Love your blog!

Is Avery your traveling gnome? I always loved that part of the Travelocity commercials.

Oh, and I'm jealous, jealous, jealous.
