One of our families New Years traditions was to have steamed artichokes dipped in butter, it's something I associate with a special occasion. Several of my favorite recipes use artichoke hearts, which is something Jacob had to get accustomed to after we got married. Do during the holidays when it was time to come up with a few appetizer ideas, I turned to this Artichoke dip recipe. It's really quite delicious, but changed it a little from the original so I hope I can remember all the changes.Artichoke Dip
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups mayo
1 1/2 cups mayo
2 cans artichoke hearts
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella
dash of hot sauce
dash of Worcestershire sauce
1 clove minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
Beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the mayo and beat until incorporated. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix. Transfer to a baking dish and bake in a preheated 35o degree oven for 30-40 minutes until lightly brown and bubbling. This is delicious served with pita chips, crackers or small slices of french bread!

we got through periods where we eat artichokes 2 or 3 times a WEEK! jake loves them! for us, its kinda hard to find nice ones like in your picture...and i refuse to buy anything less. i cut them in half before i cook them...it's makes them not such a splurge for us! :){and i think makes them cook more evenly}
