A quarter of a century

It's been a long time since I last posted, so hopefully this post will fill in the blanks of the past several weeks (okay, maybe just this weekend). After a busy March with a trip out to Utah and an extended babysitting job, I finally returned home just in time to celebrate my 25th birthday with lunch with my sister-in-law, a presidency meeting and young women activity, and of course these beautiful flowers from Jacob (who, thinking that he wanted to surprise me with 25 roses, bought 2 bouquets, only to realize that each was 2 dozen, so according to his calculations, I'm now 50!)
With little time to celebrate on my actual birthday, due to the above mentioned activities, Jacob took the day off of work on Friday for a little birthday shopping a festivities. Our first stop, Ace Photo where, thanks to both of our parents, I was able to get this Tamron lens. I haven't really had much of a chance to use it, but I'm very excited to the crisp quality of pictures that I'm expecting to get from it (thanks Jen for the tip). After a few hours wandering around the mall, a quick stop at target, we headed over to Kobe Japanese Restaurant for a wonderful Hibachi meal with Jacob's brother and family. Jacob and I went all out with a wonderful meal of fillet, lobster and shrimp. We even got this wonderful Polaroid picture to commemorate the evening. So, overall 25 had a slow start, but it was just nice celebrating with family. Here's to an eventful year to come!

I LOVE LOVE the flowers! What a sweet husband! And if you want any practice with your new lens...my children are willing subjects...
