I'm still here!

I haven't fallen off the ends of the earth, but it definitely seems like it since I haven't posted since before Christmas. Things have been pretty crazy with the holidays, company, and a new church calling. Things are settling down a little bit more now, so I'm ready to pursue some of the things that I began before the intensity started, one being my etsy shop (see post above). So, to start things up again, I guess I should probably answer the questions that I was tagged with by Emily.
I'm supposed to state 6 facts about myself that people don't know. I'm a pretty reserved person, but once you really get to know me, I tend to be very open, so for Emily and my family this probably isn't going to be very insightful, but for the rest of you, you'll probably learn something new...
1. I've always had a fascination with Africa. I'm not sure when it started, but I do remember when I was probably in 7th grade I learned that my dad had turned down a job that would move us to somewhere in Africa, and I was pretty upset at him. I was able to pursue that fascination as I studied Anthropology at BYU, and took many African Studies classes. The highlight of my college career was when Jacob and I, along with other students from BYU, spent the summer doing research in Ghana. It was a life changing experience, one that has ingrained that fascination even further into my being.
2. I've had the desire to adopt a child since I can remember. Of course I'd like to have my own first, but eventually I'd love to adopt. When we were younger and played "house" on Sundays with all my sisters, we would often set up an orphanage with all our babies laid out, where we could go and choose which baby we wanted, complete with adoption papers. Looking back I think it's a little odd that we did that, considering none of us were adopted and I don't think I even knew, or was aware, of anyone who was. Working in the "babies home" in Ghana was heart wrenching, and there were many times when I thought I would like to take one of them home with me, thus sparked my interest in international adoption.
3. I'm a homebody. Don't get me wrong, I love to socialize, hang out with friends, and travel, but after a while I definitely need my quiet "me" time (or Jacob and Me time). One of my favorite things to do after a stressful day is to sit in a warm bubble bath and read a good book.
4. I would love to open a bed and breakfast one day. I'd love it even more if it was overseas.
5. I love to organize things. Sometimes when I really should be cleaning, I'll organize instead. Maybe this stems from my mom paying us to organize the kitchen/office cabinets and drawers as an extra job.
6. I've always wished that I could sing better. Yes, I sang in the middleschool and highschool choir, and even sang in a couple of 4 person performances in church in highschool and collage, but I'm not sure why, because I'm really not very good. I can hold a tune, but I just don't have the best singing voice.
