Kerry - Clint - Jacob - Trevor
So after our first semi-sucessful surfing adventure, Jacob and I each tried surfing for a second time. Last Saturday morning we headed up to the North Shore with Clint, Kerry, and Trevor, rented boards at Surf and Sea and stopped at the "homeless" beach park in Haleiwa. I sat on the shore with camera, video camera and ipod in tow, ready to relax and capture everyone's surfing moves on film. Things didn't quite pan out as planned. Other than these pictures on the beach and a few of Jacob paddling out, there weren't many photo oportunities (ie. Jake didn't really get up).
On Monday it was my turn. Kelli's sister-in-law, Heidi, offered to take me out surfing on the North Shore. The first spot we checked out was completely flat, but as we went further up the coast we were lucky to find a few waves at Chuns Reef. Heidi was a great teacher, but I struggled to actually catch a wave.
They (surfers) say that the best surfer isn't the one who catches the most waves, but the one who has the most fun, so I guess we're pretty good surfers!
