Waimea Hike

Last Saturday we headed up to the North Shore with our friends Mayka and Clint and the family. Our first stop was Waimea Falls. We hiked up the path (well actually it was more of a walk), past all sorts of botanical gardens, to our final destination at the falls. Afterwards, we headed down to Sharks cove for some snorkeling where I was able to try out my new snorkels. We saw lots of beautiful fish, and luckily never was any of the cove's namesake. We headed to Haleiwa for some Mexican food at Cholos Restaurnant. Next we were off to the soap factory to pick up some tropical Hawaiian soaps. Last we made a stop at Ted's bakery for some famous chocolate-haupia pie which we've been enjoying all week. We ended our long, fun-packed day with grocery shopping and spending 3 hours assembling a bbq.
